Our story is deeply rooted in the legacy of the iconic Zahn’s Department Store building, a landmark that once defined downtown commerce and community. Today, we carry that spirit forward, inviting guests to experience our Midwestern hospitality and Italian-inspired dishes.
Meet Chef Kevin
Born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin, Chef Kevin Coulter's culinary journey began in his adolescence at his parents' pub in Uptown, where he worked in every capacity from keeping the beer cooler stocked to taking on the weekend lunch shift. After a five-year chapter serving in the Marine Corps, he returned home and began to pursue his culinary passion. After graduating from Le Cordon Bleu Chicago, he spent the next decade running premier kitchens in Chicago and Milwaukee, while traveling and learning in food hubs like New York, Richmond, and Nashville. Now back in his hometown, raising his own family in his childhood home, he is thrilled to bring his diverse, worldly experience to the table here at Marguerite.
